JOB DESCRIPTION
The ACT Parks nservation Service is seeking a Senior Visitor Services Officer to provide customer service nfidential functions, primarily at the Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre. The role is a part of the Volunteer sitor Experience team within the Parks rtnerships section of the ACT Parks nservation Service.

The position is responsible for the daily operation of the Visitor Information Centre during the week, rostered weekends blic holidays required to liaise with staff, volunteers, nfidential to ensure the smooth provision of visitor services during those times.

The role supervises a small team of part-time sual Visitor Services Officers ports to the Manager of Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre.

The role is focused on the provision of frontline customer services volves:

Supervision of a small team including rostering, direction of daily tasks formation sharing.
Greeting oviding information to visitors in a timely curate manner.
Cash hg les of entry passes, retail osk items.
Utilising point of sale systems.
End of day reconciliation nking processes.
Receiving sponding to telephone .
Maintaining databases associated with business systems.
Overseeing a retail area including stock ventory Confidential sual merchng.
Overseeing preparation of food verages for sale, including ordering, cleaning stocking according to safe food h requirements.
Contributing to thelivery of interpretation activities to visitors oups.
Liaising with other work units ction staff to ensure up to date curate information is provided to visitors.
Acting as point of contact between
visitors aff regarding recreation urism opportunities.
Providing administrative erational support to Confidential in relation to incident, accident or emergency situations.
Contributing to the realisation of operational rategic goals for the business r the broader estate as directed.
Maintaining records in accordance with the Territory Records Act

Preparedness to wear a uniform.

Preparedness to work at any Parks nservation Service location as directed.
Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People Background Checking Act is required. on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - .
Ctes that speak a second language, especially Asian languages.
Proven hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment well regarded.
Current ACT manual driver?s licence.

Notes:
This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months with the possibility of extension up to six months. An order of merit will be established from this selection process e used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection be based on application feree reports only. This position is available to ACT officers ployees only.
