ACT Pathology is a division of the Canberra Health Services with laboratories located at both the Canberra Hospital lvary Public Hospital operating hours, 7 days a week all year round llection Centres located at seven other siteshology provides diagnostic nsultative services to medical specialists neral practitioners eir patients in hospital the communitygt;

The Specimen Reception Department within ACT Pathology is responsible for accurate ficient entry of pathology requests, preparation spatch of patient samples inical trial samples, receipt spatch of referred test results stribution of pathology results via telephone gt;

Under the broad direction of the Specimen Reception Manager, you will play a key role in the coordination adership of the operations affing of all sections within the Specimen Reception Department will provide leadership aining to staff, maintain processes ocedures, provide high level troubleshooting assistance, intain staff competenciess position is one of three supervisors within the department itially will be responsible for the Sendaways section suring compliance to accreditation requirements role require participation in on-call, out of hours work across a 7-day rostergt;

Eligibility/Other Requirements

Relevant Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification, or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience aining which enables the officer to competently perform the duties appropriate to the officegt;The successful applicant will need to participate in a hour/7 day rotating rostergt;Have an underst ofsho w the National Sts ality Health Service NSQHS indicators align with this rolegt;Have an underst of National Association of Testing Authorities NATA accreditation requirementsgt;Have an underst of the requirements for transportation of biological specimens in accordance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulationsgt;Fulfil the responsibilities of this role as detailed in the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework l other related frameworksgt;

Prior to commencement successful ctes will be required to
