About the Senior System Integration Engineer Role

As a Senior System Integration Engineer you are a professional engineer performing duties requiring the application of mature professional system integration engineering knowledge. With scope for individual accomplishment and coordination of more difficult assignments, the professional deals with problems for which it is necessary to modify established guides and devise new approaches.

The Senior System Integration Engineer may make some original contribution or apply new professional system integration engineering approaches and techniques to the design or development of equipment or special aspects of products, facilities and buildings. The Senior System Integration Engineer makes responsible decisions on matters assigned, including the establishment of professional engineering standards and procedures, consults, recommends and advises in speciality engineering areas. The Senior System Integration Engineer outlines and assigns work, reviews it for technical accuracy and adequacy.

As the Senior Systems Integration Engineer working on TopSky Projects provides you with the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and new tools within Air Traffic Control, exposure to a variety of projects and array of clients across the globe.

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated the following knowledge and experience:

Solid understanding of software integration and testing processes including regression, interface, simulation scenarios and test tools

Solid experience in using UNIX/Linux operating systems, binary and source

level debugging tools, Requirement/Test and Defect Management Systems

Practical experience of integration, validation and verification of software / hardware components on large, complex, software-based systems

Practical experience with programming languages such as; Java, Shell Scripting, Python and continuous integration tools such as Git and Jenkins

Solid Software background with good knowledge of Jira and Confluence for agile project management

Exposure to DevOps continuous improvement methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle

A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science or IT

Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail
