We pride ourselves on meticulously sourcing a diverse selection of both international and local artisanal charcuterie delights, ranging from the luxurious Jamon Iberico de Cebo to the exquisite Larnaudie duck Foie Gras. Beyond charcuterie, we complement the experience with a variety of cheeses, dry goods and pantry essentials, offering our customers the tools to enhance their culinary creations.

We are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer to join our team. As a Retail Buyer, you will play a crucial role in curating our product selection, ensuring that all goods meet or exceed our standards for freshness, taste and artisanal craftsmanship.

Requirements:

  • • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • • At least 2 years of experience as a Retail Buyer or similar role
  • • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions
  • • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • • A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to quality

Responsibilities:

  • • Identify and source premium charcuterie, cheeses, dry goods and pantry essentials from both international and local suppliers.
  • • Monitor sales data and stock levels to identify trends and patterns and ensure optimal inventory levels. Ensure that popular seasonal items are well stocked whilst minimizing excess inventory during slower seasons.
  • • Stay informed about changing market conditions related to charcuterie and specialty food products and research and evaluate potential new suppliers and products.
  • • Determine the quantity, style and quality of goods to be purchased and adjust the product selection to cater for the evolving tastes and demands of the target customer base.
  • • Collaborate with suppliers to explore new and unique offerings and negotiate favorable purchase, promotion and supply arrangements.
  • • Develop and implement pricing, marketing and display strategies that resonate with seasonal themes, capitalizing on holidays, events and weather-related trends.
  • • Work closely with management to discuss long-term business plans and goals and develop promotional strategies and seasonal offerings.
  • • Establish working plans based on the deli's seasonal and budgetary requirements, adapting to unexpected market dynamics and economic factors.
  • • Anticipate consumer trends in the charcuterie and specialty food industry, considering external factors such as holidays or events that may impact consumer purchasing behavior.
  • • Stay abreast of culinary trends, market demands and competitor offerings to inform purchasing decisions and keep our product selection innovative and competitive.
  • • Introduce new products strategically and make data-driven decisions on whether to maintain, expand or discontinue existing offerings.
  • • Ensure that all products meet our quality standards and specifications.

Benefits:

Salary Offer: $70,000 - $80,000
