About the role
When we say our purpose is “to make technology real”, it’s our Professional Services team who are key to ensuring we deliver on this promise. Helping our customers on their journey to realise tangible business outcomes from technology through presales, “consult”, “design”, into “build”, then “run and optimise”. This is a strategic area of our business, aligned with our Go To Market strategy.
The Solutions Architect will support and assist with the design and development of IT solutions architecture to support customer and business strategies.
In this role, you will provide expertise on client engagements, manage technical programs, develop, coordinate and deliver all aspects of customer IT needs, or support with parts of large customer engagements.

Role Context
As part of the Solutions Architecture team, this role works closely with the Sales team and other Professional Services teams to convert customer needs into functional solutions. This role’s primary purpose is to attend meetings, while supporting our Sales team in a senior pre-sales capacity. You will be engaging with some of AC3's most rapidly developing customers enabling them to disrupt their chosen market.
You will liaise with Relationship Managers and manage external relationships with our customers, supplies and vendors.

Skills & experience Experience and confidence in a customer facing consulting or consultative pre-sales role with strong technical presence Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or minimum 10 years’ experience in similar role within the IT industry. Subject Matter Expert in network technologies including Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Aruba Ability to understand defined business objectives and translate into client IT requirements and provide a suitable solution. Strong team oriented interpersonal skills, ability
to effectively interface with a wide variety of people and roles and confidently interact with senior business and technical personnel Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with proven document/report writing Skilled at diagrammatically representing processes, workflows, and ideas and must be able to prepare, present, and maintain technical documentation to customers and internal staff Willingness to learn and grow Ability to lead and develop cutting edge solutions that meet customer needs and deliver business outcomes Strong expertise in Routing, Switching and Security across Datacentre, Campus and WAN environments High level expertise in virtualisation technologies and integration with networks, specifically VMWare, KVM, OVM High-level expertise of Cisco, Juniper, Citrix, F5, Riverbed, Checkpoint and Palo Alto products Expertise in Software Defined Networking and Automation principles Windows Server, UNIX and/or Linux exposure High-level expertise in wireless and Unified Communications Understanding of Dev Ops framework and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). High-level expertise in cloud solutions, including VMWare vCloud Suite, Openstack, AWS and Azure
