About the role

This role is primarily responsible for providing effective Information Technology support to the organisation.dditionally, this role is also responsible for the support and maintenance of the network infrastructure within Council.p>

This role also provides high level of service desk and network support and backup level 1 support when required.he incumbent works closely with other specialist team members in achieving project outcomes and in the resolution of more complex problems and issues.his role will be required to conduct out of business hours work and be required to be on a rotating on-call roster.p>

Key duties

Provides support for the maintenance of selected technology systems and operations e. Telephony, user devices, printing, network, MS Office etc.br>Conducts procurement of hardware, telephony, software and consumables in line with the requirements of the Information Technology unit and is responsible for the life cycle management of technology assets.r>Responsible for the administration of Active Directory and User Licenses.r>Administration of Microsoft Windows Servers.r>Maintaining and administering the VMware environment.r>

Skills and experience

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience.r>End user technology such as laptops, iPads, desktops, iPhones.r>Microsoft Office & Windows environments.r>Microsoft 365 suite of products.r>Printing frameworks.r>
Knowledge in the following systems and technology
Network systems
Telephony systems
Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager SCCM
Microsoft SQL server environments
Backup solutions
Understanding of the technology requirements for different user groups and an awareness of the effect of reduced technology capability on users.r>Understanding of budgeting processes and ability to manage budgets.r>
