About your role:
Opportunity for a HSE Specialist to join our Vehicle and Tactical Systems (VTS) team based at our manufacturing site in Bendigo Victoria. The HSE Specialist will be required to assist the HSE Manager with providing support to the Thales Protected Vehicles domain and the development and implementation of HSE Programs contained in the site strategy and objectives.

As a HSE Specialist, you are accountable for:

Assisting the HSE Manager to implement the Bendigo HSE Plan and its associated programs

Responsible for project managing TRACC Risk Assessment Project activity at Bendigo site, ensuring all milestones are achieved.

Conducting and facilitating Risk Assessment activity as per the TRACC plan and schedule.

Ensure that document control protocols are applied regarding any risk assessment documentation associated with the TRACC project.

Responsible for the HSE reporting of TRACC progress and escalating .

Actively promoting a safe and healthy working environment

Assisting in implementing HSE improvement programs to address current and future issues on the site that arise out of any risk assessment activity.

Serving as a role model to all employees by demonstrating full support of Thales Australia's occupational health, safety and environmental programs

How about you:

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

Qualification in occupational health and safety or environment (desirable) or mechanical


HSE experience in a manufacturing/mining environment

Experience interacting with management through to shop floor employees and external stakeholders

Practical knowledge of working within teams

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Good communication, presentation and report writing skills

Sound computer skills in use of Microsoft Office products
