Requirements:
One of our clients, GlassCo Australia Pty Ltd is looking for a Glazier. For more than 15 years, GlassCo Australia has established itself as a well- Known provider of glass and glass products that offer added value. The organization engages in importing, wholesaling, and manufacturing glass products utilizing cutting- Edge manufacturing techniques. GlassCo makes use of high- Recision and sophisticated machinery, including an automatic float cutting line, vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers, water- Jet cutting machines, vertical glass washing machines, a toughening plant, and a LISEC IGU production line.
Our client is looking to add to their team of glaziers as their workload continues to grow. The role requires someone with experience and highly skilled to be able to join the team. The details of the job are given below:
1. Certificate III in Glass and Glazing
2. Three years or more working experience in a similar role and environment.
3. Should have experience in completing relevant glass installations and possess the ability to cut glass onsite
4. Experience in glass replacements for different frames.
5. Sound knowledge of AS1288
6. Be able to interpret and work from drawings.
7. Able to work independently as well as a member of the team.
8. Attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Interpreting blueprints to ascertain the shape, size, color, and thickness of glass required for installation.
2. Measuring and marking lines or patterns on the glass before cutting it to size and specifications in the workshop or on the job site.
3. Measuring, cutting, and fitting anti- Glare film to the glass as needed.
4. Pack loose areas between glass panels and molding or frames with glazing compound, and trim excess material with a glazing knife.
5. Lift, hold and secure glass panels and mirrors into position with putty, cement, screws or bolts.
6. Fabricating and installing moldings for glass installations.
