Information technology is key to the college-s success; -it- is embedded in the college-s educational delivery, for example, classroom environments are heavily dependent on it for their highly regarded teaching delivery methods. All students have their own (byod) device to access college systems to receive tuition and engage with teaching staff which creates a requirement for a highly secure and responsive it infrastructure available to on campus and off campus users. To ensure ongoing success the college is seeking a dynamic and innovative full time systems administrator who can demonstrates previous experience in a similar role with a commitment to service excellence and professionalism. This role forms part of an inclusive, supportive, and high performing team, reporting to the college management team. The systems administrator will, ensure the reliable and continuous operation of the college information systems and communication network, and coordinate continuous system development and improvements to meet the changing needs of the college system users and community.
- Solid relevant degree (or agreed alternative)
- At least 3 years highly relevant professional experience gained in a similar role
- Strong understanding of server operating systems
- Strong understanding of client side operating systems
- Advanced knowledge of the main office applications
- Current experience with databases, information or learning management systems
- Experience managing sensitive and/or confidential information
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities, enabling respectful and positive relationships with staff and students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound resilience and problem- solving abilities
- A -can do- attitude
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills and
- Hold appropriate Australian work rights.
Management of the college server systems
Network hardware installation and configuration
Configuration and setup of byod devices, including windows, chrome os, apple, and android os
User account management (staff and students)
Maintaining detailed records of equipment and its movement
General software support, troubleshooting and user assistance
Support of database systems
Support of audio- visual systems such as classroom equipment
Actively researching the market to recommend upgrades, replacements as is necessary to ensure maximum up time and user satisfaction

Salary range $70,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
