Full time
Brotzeit Joondalup seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Chef De Partie to join our team. This full- Time position will provide leadership and support to the team whilst demonstrating hands- On skills. A true team player with excellent culinary skills and a warm and engaging personality.
Qualification & Experience
We are looking for a qualified Senior Chef with relevant industry qualifications such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality or relevant equivalent vocational qualifications.
At least 3 years of full- Time work experience as a Senior Chef/Chef or equivalent experience in a similar role. Food Safety Certificate qualification is highly desirable.
Candidates must be:
Well- Resented, punctual, hardworking and able to work well under pressure
Be flexible with days of work including weekdays and weekends
Have excellent culinary skills
Ability to work positively, proactively and safely work alone as well as team- Oriented and be able to work with other kitchen and restaurant staff
Attention to strong standards of hygiene and adherence to food safety practices
Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure the preparation, cooking and presentation of all dishes to an
exceptional standard across all menus.
Oversee selection and training of staff to ensure smooth operations of the kitchen.
Influence and monitor food costs via portion control, waste minimisation and stock control.
Ensuring the section team is producing food to our high standard in a timely manner.
Ensure food and labour costs are estimated appropriately and stocks are ordered promptly.
Initiative and ability to work autonomously and lead a team.
Oversee menu review and provide suggestions for designing menus.
Ensure special dietary requirements including allergy- Related requests are adhered to.
Actively maintain awareness for nutrition and healthy eating.
Ensure safe production measures and food safety guidelines are explained to kitchen staff and are adhered to at all times.
Communicate relevant issues and concerns to the relevant kitchen and floor staff, Managers and Directors promptly.
