As a Product Engineer, you will be required to organise, oversee, and execute the planning, managing technical specification, approval testing, and reporting of all Beko parts and products to ensure they comply with the Australian Technical Requirements and Market needs. This includes establishing warranty conditions and maintenance needs to prevent technical faults from arising that may compromise the proper functioning of products after the sale of a product. You will also be required to liaise with the production plant and R&D department for product development and improvement if there is any significant change required due to the Australian Market and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
Experience:
- 3+ years relevant experience in consumer durable products production, testing, standards approvals and technical support
Ability:
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Good project management skills
- Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate skill level with MS Excel required
Personal Skills:
- Dual language English and Turkish both spoken and written
- The ability to develop strong working relationships across the business at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to achieve superior results through teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the Product Engineer is to support the Product Manager in all technical
Aspects of the management of the product lifecycle, including:
1. Identifying, solving, and coordinating product quality and performance issues, including liaising between local technical team and factories for solution of product quality issues.
2. Technical support for OEM customers including product, service, spare parts and
Documentation queries.
3. Analytical analysis and reporting of product returns including transport damage analysis and
Tracking; quality problems including root cause and pareto analysis; OEM warranty data
Analysis and spare parts usage and demand.
4. Validating specifications of new products in technical documents including user manuals,
Specification sheets and web sites.
5. Overseeing and coordinating product approval and certification processes including
Preparing technical documentation submissions, defining test requirements in accordance
With relevant standards, supervising in- House and third- Arty test laboratories work, and
Liaising with R&D and factory operations in Turkey.
6. Submit product samples and surveys for consumer field testers for usage review, and follow- up and monitor feedback.
