Full Time Construction Project Manager - Western Down

Sterling and Wilson Solar Australia has been appointed as an EPC Contractor for multiple projects around Australia and is supported by global counterparts.
As a large organization, we have multiple opportunities at 3 levels within this classification of Construction Project Manager.
- Senior level designation position of a Project Manager / Construction Project Manager/ Project Director / Head - Projects: $160k - $250K
- Medium-level designation position of Project Control Manager/ Construction Manager: $130k- $160k
- Junior level designation position of a Project Planner/ Project Control Manager/ Construction Manager (Elec/Civil/Mech): $105k - $130k
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Relevant bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience
10+ years of experience in execution of large/medium sized EPC projects, in infrastructure / renewable energy / electrical substation transmission lines / Oil & Gas/utility-scale power projects.
PV Solar experience preferred.
Knowledge: Primavera / IPMA/PMP/Project management certification is highly desirable
Skills
- Engineering and Project Management qualifications combined with relevant experience operating at this level, delivering similar style projects within solar/ power /EPC environment or renewable energy
- Strong contractor and contract management capability within solar/power/ EPC environment or renewable energy
- Proven track record of project oversight of project management/construction/planning/cost control
- Experience leading multi- Discipline projects involving, mechanical, electrical, and civil works
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (including written, verbal, and presentation) that will allow you to liaise with varied stakeholders in a large complex organization
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct project site surveying, pegging, layout, fencing, road works, and trenching
Activities in a manner that delivers the project within safety, cost, and time targets set by the
Project Manager.
- Ensure that the mechanical sub- Contractors meet the contractual conditions of performance as
Er, the scope of work and timeline.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including contractors, authorities, and regulators as required to deliver the project
- Provide guidance on construction in relation to design through interpretation of design specifications
- Assume overall authority to co- Ordinate and engage key staff within the project construction management team including overseas the work of subcontractors to ensure accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor progress vs schedule and identify and eliminate delay risks prior to delays occurring
- Collaborate with the construction team (particularly engineers) to ensure commonality in working toward targets
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all company policies and procedures.
- Developing and monitoring detailed project schedules and cost forecasts at various levels.
- Monitoring cost control for all projects and commitment through requisition and invoice review
- Plans and monitors the sequence of project operations for guidance of construction workers.
- Review and help prepare short and long- Term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members.
- Evaluate and analyze team risks and issues compromising project results and develop plans to mitigate them.
- Ensuring resource planning for availability and allocating the same, coordinating with various departments and external agencies.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
