Full Time Chef
Salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 per annum.
Responsible for the planning and organisation of the food to be prepared in Café 130
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and developing a standard menu for lunch and for dinner
- Will consider the labour and food costs in all estimations and work with the Management in developing menus
- Responsible for planning and developing the specials on the menu as required
- Monitoring and ensuring quality is maintained in the preparation and presentation of dishes as per the menu at all times
- Supervising the junior cooks and kitchen staff at all times with cooking techniques and procedures
- Developing and preparing food to meet special dietary requirements as per customer requirements if required
- Training other kitchen staff and apprentices and junior staff as per requirement
- comply with the OH & S guidelines while working in the kitchen
Skill level
Certificate qualifications in Commercial Cookery with a minimum of three to four years- experience working in the kitchen
Experience in supervising junior cooks and kitchen staff
Experience in menu creation
