Salary - $80,000 - $90,000 plus super
Full Time Bricklayer
Our bricklayers are required to read plans and specifications, lay bricks, pre- Cut stone and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions and structures. Punctuality, the ability to work independently, and finish your work to a high standard will be recognized.
Skills:
Australian Certificate III or equivalent and 2 years- experience. Alternatively, 3 years of relevant experience.
Living in Australia and can start immediately.
Our bricklayers are required to read plans and specifications, lay bricks, pre- Cut stone and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions and structures. Punctuality, the ability to work independently, and finish your work to a high standard will be recognized.
Experience with supervising apprentice bricklayers, bricklayers- labourers and OH&S at the site.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise apprentice bricklayers, bricklayers- labourers and OH&S at the site
- erecting and dismantling scaffolding as required
- Sealing foundations with damp- Resistant materials
- Use of measuring devices, laser levels, power/hand tools, and mixers
- Laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints/removing excess
- Embedding blocks in the mortar and removing excess mortar
- Checking vertical and horizontal alignment
- Cutting and shaping stones and bricks using machines and hand tools
- Repairing and maintaining bricks and cement blocks
- Constructing walls using brick, stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks
