Our client is a health organisation that provides multiple specialised services and programs for the health and wellbeing of the community. This organisation strives towards excellence through integrity and a well-defined set of core values. This establishment has been supplying its community with quality services and resources for a significant block of time. They are constantly looking to improve their services, process and spend, and in this instance, the client is looking to uplift their BI capability. As such, a Data Analyst is required to engage the business and work with key subject matter experts to uplift dashboard reporting and generate key insights to the business to compel process improvement, redesign and decision-making.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Data Performance Manager, you will be the key driver in discovering data performance insights and improving processes & Business Intelligence reporting functions. A technical skill set is required as well as the ability to intelligently question and communicate to the business. Your responsibilities will include;

Data analysis to provide business insights using both internal and external activity and data sets.Specification and documentation of new reporting requirements.Benchmarking and trend analysis against performance targets.Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for the purpose of analysis and reporting.Testing and documentation of data models.Provide support and training of reporting tool (Qlikview) to stakeholders.Ensure data integrity of the data warehouse.Review external data submissions and report outputs.Identify and resolve the root
cause of data quality issues and develop solutions to improve data quality.Provide data expertise in context to data accessibility, direct source and definition.

About You

You will currently be working in a Data Analysis function and will be very comfortable questioning the data and the business. You will deeply value being a part of and having the opportunity to influence an organisations vision. You will have a passion for analytics and knowledge of business intelligence such as QlikView/Qlik Sense. You will have exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written.

Your experience and skills should include most, if not all:

Cohesive understanding of health service operation, data and reporting governance to enable data analysis and interpretation in context of performance and funding insights.Register identified data quality issues using SharePoint.Solid Data Analysis experience with the ability to use reporting and visualization tools such as QlikView.Excellent SQL skills and Excel skills.Experience work in the Healthcare sector or with health-related data such as health activity-based funding models.Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.Proven experience leveraging data to inform business decisions to redesign & improve processes and reporting.Proven experience managing and improving data quality.Confidence in engaging and managing stakeholder interactions at all levels.
