The ISV Commercial team provides commercial support across the solution product development lifecycle from investment case and pricing through to client and supplier deal shaping and negotiation. The team supports the above trend growth of the firm by ensuring all arrangements have a high degree of commercial rigour that maximise profitability and de-risk the activities of ISV.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Director, this Manager level position will support large complex deal bids by leading the modelling and competitive pricing as well as supporting negotiations with client facing teams. This role will utilise your commercial and financial skills and leverage your IT services knowledge to deliver business value to KPMG and our clients. The role will also work closely with the product development team to support business case development and new solution pricing and profitability.

Deal Qualification - Lead the conversation with internal teams to qualify major solutions and managed services opportunities against a predefined set of criteria enabling laser focus on new opportunities and must win deals.

Deal Pricing and Structuring – Build and structure bespoke commercial pricing models to support the competitive pricing of major solutions and managed services deals that are underpinned by technology. Bring together commercial and financial rigor in supporting the commercial approach and client value proposition, ensuring an optimum balance of risk and reward between KPMG and its clients.

Negotiation and Contracting – Work closely with the legal and client teams to understand and negotiate key terms and conditions, identifying issues and problem solving to manage the risk and return equation appropriately for the firm.

Supplier Commercial Management – Provide commercial support and advice to the product
management and client teams across supplier commercial and contract negotiations.

Solution Development – Develop commercial and pricing models for new solutions and managed services. Develop competitive price targets and associated cost targets leveraging market trends, client preferences, competitive intelligence, and knowledge of IT services. Provide commercial support to the product development team for the creation of investment cases.

How are you Extraordinary?

Relevant tertiary qualification such as Bachelor of Business with minimum 7 years post qualification experience.
Professional Accounting qualification preferred, e.g. CA/CPA
Demonstrated large deal pricing experience, delivering the optimum commercial outcome for both the organisation and the client.
Highly developed financial modelling expertise.
Experience in MS Office suite with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Strong analytical, numerical reasoning skills and commercial acumen.
Ability to work at senior executive stakeholder levels, delivering succinct messages (verbally and written) that can be consumed quickly with internal and external stakeholders.
A high comfort level in handling ambiguity or imperfect information.
Ability to work independently and resolve problems with minimum guidance.
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Pricing & Costing.
Experience gained in a technology or telco environment.
