JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is an active member of the school leadership team, overseeing the operations of the school business, accountable to the ACT Education Directorate in meeting relevant legislative requirements.

Responsibilities include finance e Confidential of budgets; coordination of business requests, Confidential nitoring of contracts ases, managing relationships with partners ndors, identify opportunities velop plans for businesswhich includes assisting the school in delivering on its strategic vision siness plan.

An ability to think critically will be vital in providing informed advice to the Principal to minimise risks, ensure compliance, to strategically ensure the most effective use of resources offer advice lutions for business operations including identifying issues llowing established protocols. Excellent communication stomer service skills will be essential.

The Business Manager plays an integral role within the school community e school improvement agenda, ensuring the school is a safe, happy sitive environment where students love to

learn. They provide valuable, enabling support to the Principal while working collaboratively with the school leadership team e school community to support student outcomes. Responsibility for leading, mentoring naging the non-teaching support staff of the school also falls within the expectations of this role.

Belconnen High School is located in the suburb of Hawker with an enrolment area that includes Hawker, Weetangera, Florey, Confidential, Scullin. The school has around students across 3, classes with 49 teachers support staff.

This is a temporary position available immediately up until with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process ll be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
