The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to join an instantly recognised and established retailer located in Melbourne's inner suburbs. The Business Analyst joins a small, close-knit and friendly Strategy and Insights team reporting into a Finance Manager. This fast paced and varied role will develop both your technical skills and your ability to partner with the wider business demonstrating your excellent communication skills with non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership teams.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager (Strategy and Insights) and being a member of the insights team, you will be responsible for the creation/design of reports and data analysis to deliver insights to key stakeholders across the business to influence decision making and strategy. Main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Design, implement and support business intelligence reporting solutions in support of the Commercial, HR, Marketing and Finance functions within the businessPartner closely with Marketing stakeholders to provide analysis of marketing campaigns
and provide insights into consumer trends and customer behaviourSupport marketing strategy by assessing feasibility of future campaigns and projectsTranslate business questions into data and analysis requirements, carry out analysis, visualistion and presentation of findingsSupport the strategy planning process, market, competitor and pricing analysisAd hoc duties as required

Your Profile

Relevant tertiary qualification5+ years post university qualification experienceExperience in data collection, extraction, management, financial modelling and scenario analysisThe ability to extract information from diverse sources, large and complex datasets, transforming and verifying raw data into user-friendly meaningful reportsHigh attention to detailDemonstrated experience using advanced ExcelStrong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environmentExperience in managing and prioritising multiple departmental requirements and deadlines.
