The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a 3rd/4th Year Plumber Apprentice located in our Balmain Shipyard. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be trained rking in a -knit team looking after the maintenance pairs for our fleet, of over 50 different vessels. Apart from advancing your plumbing skills, this opportunity will allow you to also develop further your welding/fabrication skills which is one of the most important parts of the skilled Company in our yard.

Your main duties include

Manufacturing pairing complex steel ainless-steel plumbing systems
Reading plans bricating as per designs
Ensuring Manager-s needs are met for the maintenance pairing of vessels.
Assisting with the docking intenance of vessels.
Attending call-in duties for breakdown maintenance.
Working effectively with other staff ntractors as required dertaking all tasks directed by our Production Manager in a professional fe manner as week as complying with our workplace policies ocedures.

There be a requirement to work in different locations such as Circular Quay, Barangaroo, Manly, ner Harbour Wharves. Subject to your ongoing performance, upon completing your apprenticeship in our Shipyard, there will be a potential qualified Plumber opportunity on offer.

What you bring

We are looking for a 3rd/4th Year Plumber Apprentice who is keen on progressing their plumbing career further in a marine environment. You will possess your own tools to carry out the duties

as required. You must be self-driven, passionate about the trade team player capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team within time constraints.

You will also have a flexible work approach to prepare dertake further training, work with minimum supervision able to work on a rotating shift basis or overtime as required by our Managers.
