Q Labour Solutions is an established on-hire and recruitment business based in Geelong with experience and expertise in supplying trades labour to our clients all over Victoria and New South Wales. We require several full-time, and permanent part-time, bricklayers to meet the needs of our clients.
Full Time Bricklayer
Salary - $75,000-80,000 plus super+Coinvest
Our bricklayers are required to read plans and specifications, lay bricks, pre-cut stone and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, and structures. Punctuality, enthusiasm, the ability to work independently, and finish your work to a high standard will be recognized.
Responsibilities:
- • erecting and dismantling scaffolding as required
- • sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials
- • use measuring devices, laser levels, power/hand tools, and mixers
- • laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints/removing excess
- • embedding blocks in the mortar and removing excess mortar
- • checking vertical and horizontal alignment
- • cutting and shaping stones and bricks using machines and hand tools
- • repairing and maintaining bricks and cement blocks
- • constructing walls using brick, stone slabs, and large masonry slab blocks
- • Supervise apprentice bricklayers, bricklayers' labourers, and OH&S at the site
